Thinking Bigger and Feeling at Home: An Interview with Wishcandy

Where did I see that before?

If you're looking at this month's Pride-themed cover of 
 Portland Mercury, you might be asking yourself this question. Even if you live north of the colonial border like me, you've likely stumbled upon Wishcandy's infectious artwork on the Internet. If you haven't, you're definitely in for a treat!    

In April, I published excerpts from my interview with Sashiko Yuen, aka Wishcandy, in Together: A Zine on Asian & Black Intimacies on Turtle Island. In honour of Pride Month this June, I'm posting the full interview here. It was such a pleasure to learn from Sashiko and I hope to feature more amazing people on this site in the future.
